Dr Deborah Johnson Blake
Time management expert, inspiring facilitator, and trainer, and speaker
While time management is critical to planning a productive day, many people who attempt to manage time and get more done each day often fail because they do not plan accordingly. Dr. Deborah Johnson-Blake experienced similar challenges as a paralegal before it came full circle in 1992 when she failed to file a personal injury legal complaint within a two-year statute of limitations. After allowing this mistake to haunt her for years, she eventually earned her Master of Public Administration and Doctor of Management and presented her thesis, and defended her dissertation that focused on the impact time management has on organizational success and leadership. As the CEO of The Writing Pad, LLC, the self-proclaimed, The Time Management Diva, and best-selling author, now, she helps leaders and organizations learn effective time management techniques to be more productive and efficient time managers.
As the 2021 American Business Woman of the American Business Woman Association (ABWA), and 2021 Top Ten Business Woman of ABWA, nationally, Dr. Johnson-Blake's life's mission is to be of service and a resource to everyone she encounters. Community, servant leadership, and life-long learning are the soul of her existence. Dr. Johnson-Blake enjoys teaching others how to be their best selves and helping clients improve relations and achieve personal and professional goals in the workplace and beyond. She is a board member for Beyond the Front Porch, a member of the Junior League of Douglas County nominating committee, the National Negro Council of Women, the Women Employment Opportunity Project, and the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.
