National Organisation of Women in Sport Physical Activity and Recreation (NOWSPAR) in Zambia has taken deliberate steps to engage non sports civil society organisations in advocacy work and information sharing by partitipating and adding the voice of the sports sector to issues such as the NGO Bill, the SADC Protocol campaign, the MDG campaign and the campaign for Universal Access by 2010.
Sport has over the past two decades grown into a strong platform for development, in view of this, NOWSPAR believes that now more than ever, women cannot afford to have limited access to sporting opportunities as they inevitably miss out on all the added services and benefits that are attached to sport. ... more
