Women, Power and Politics: What Difference Do Women Make?

The International Museum of Women (I.M.O.W.), a nonprofit and nonpartisan social change museum dedicated to valuing the lives of women worldwide, unveils a fresh look for its newly completed Women, Power and Politics global online exhibition accessible at www.imow.org/wpp in four languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish. The exhibition now serves as one of the most comprehensive online sources of women's political participation worldwide.

The Women, Power and Politics global online exhibition has been building since International Women's Day, March 8, 2008. Through essays, interviews, movie clips, music, podcasts, as well as artwork, photography, political cartoons, posters and more, the exhibition connects visitors to more than 200 stories of remarkable women from more than 75 countries claiming and exercising their power to transform their communities and the world.

In 2008, Women, Power and Politics and the International Museum of Women have received hundreds of thousands of visitors from more than 200 countries, including many of the 7,400 participants of I.M.O.W.'s online Community, where the conversations continue to thrive in the online Forum at www.imow.org/community.

The exhibition unveils a new look in January 2009 providing easy access to the wide breadth of content in Women, Power and Politics. Refined user-interface advancements include a new exhibition home page, a video overview of the exhibition, a dynamic navigational tag cloud, plus a how-to Toolkit chock-full of resources and links to 145 Take Actions to inspire visitors to take meaningful action in their own communities.
