Fans stunned by Rihanna-Chris Brown reconciliation
Fans of singers Chris Brown and Rihanna expressed dismay on Saturday at reports the couple had reunited just three weeks after Brown was alleged to have assaulted her.
Celebrity magazines People and Us Weekly said that the R&B stars were spending time together at the Miami home of hip hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs -- and that Rihanna's father was supporting her decision.
"I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I'm behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that's the road she wants to choose, I'm behind her," Rihanna's dad Ronald Fenty told Us Weekly from his Barbados home.
Fans could scarcely believe the news that came a week after a picture, showing the 21-year-old "Umbrella" singer with bruises to her face and swollen lips, was leaked on the Internet ... more

I think that the media is over reacting about what happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna. They don't act like this when it happens to normal people. They need to treat people equally.

I can't believe that she would go back to someone that assaulted her. It's amazing to me that a woman in such a position of fame and recognition lacks the respect for herself. I think it is horrible that she is a role model for young girls who get the message that it's ok to go back to a guy who beat you. I think it sends an even worse message to the guys who think that you can beat a woman and not only do you get away with it, but she'll come back to you. Shame on both of them.

It makes no difference whether they are movie stars, celebrities or common folks ... this treatment of women is just plain WRONG and CRIMINAL! I cannot believe her father is taking this so calmly! I certainly wouldn't with someone treating either of my two daughters this way. They both need to have their heads examined.
