Aligned with International Women’s Day, this day course examines some of the key figures who have made significant contributions to design and production, including furniture, glass, metalwork and ceramics. Designers such as Vanessa Bell, Lucie Rie, Susie Cooper, Charlotte Perriand and Eileen Gray from the twentieth century, and contemporary figures such as Hella Jongerius and Zaha Hadid, will be considered within the broader context of innovation in design.
