| About: | Walk for India's Missing Girls is peaceful march to protest female foeticide and infanticide in India and to remember the victims of this genocide.
In the last century 50 million girls have been killed either before or after they are born simply because of their gender.
The goal of the walk is to create awareness among the Indian and International Community about this gender holocaust and challenge people to take action.
Please join us in the walk, so we can work together to save India's baby girls.

You can present or facilitate a session on any topic that you like as it relates to our shared experience.
Possible topics may include:

* Art
* Technology
* Community
* Spirituality
* Laws & Rights
or any others that you desire to share or learn about.
We invite you to attend, share and learn. The un-conference model is a participant-driven event. YOU will create it on the fly through a facilitated process.
We will provide the space, timeframe and a simple structure through which the participants will offer to share their knowledge or let it be known that they desire to learn about a specific topic. The sessions will coalesce around the sharers and receivers so that a dialogue emerges. |

| About: | Distinguished women scientists and science professionals will gather at Bard Collge at Simon’s Rock on Saturday, March 6 for the Ninth Annual International Women’s Day Conference, Women in the Sciences: Making a Difference. The conference will take place at the Daniel Arts Center from 1 to 5 p.m.
The day will be dedicated to celebrating the important contributions of women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), as well as to exploring why and how girls and women have historically been discouraged from achieving in the STEM fields.
Opening the event will be Berkshire County native Adeline Perkins, CEO of a multi-million dollar Boston-based biotechnology firm specializing in developing oncology medications. Perkins, who combined her B.S. in chemical engineering with a Harvard MBA in business, will use her own story, beginning with her early math and science education at Taconic High School in Pittsfield, to underline the importance of STEM education in propelling women into fields where they really can make a difference. |
