Cork Entrepreneurs Network and Glandore would like to invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day with our event Hear from Her.

Better the Balance, Better the World is the theme for International Women’s Day 2019. Balance drives a better working world. Balance is not a women’s issue, it is a business issue. Come along on Thursday March 7th and hear some of the positive differences our local business women have made.

Gillian Keating, Partner at Ronan Daly Jermyn

Gillian leads the firm’s corporate and commercial department with a focus on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Gillian wears many hats as an adjunct Professor of Law at UCC, member of the Governing Body of UCC and Fota Wildlife Park, past President of Cork Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Audit Committee at UCC. Gillian is co-founder of the multi award winning I Wish social enterprise which to date has encouraged 17,000 women to consider careers in STEM.

Ciara Crossan, Founder & CEO of Wedding Dates

Ciara is a tech entrepreneur who combined a degree in Business Information Systems with a family background in hotels to found WeddingDates 10 years ago. Ciara is a self-professed evangelist on all things web and weddings and is an expert in sales, marketing and PR for small businesses. Under the leadership of her infectious enthusiasm, industry knowledge and entrepreneurial drive, WeddingDates has won numerous awards and Ciara herself was shortlisted as “Outstanding Entrepreneur” in the UK Women 1st SHINE Awards in 2013.

Sarah Abbott, Founder of The People Practice

A proven business leader, Sarah is an award winning Executive and Team Coach, focusing on talent strategies to prepare senior Leaders for the future. Throughout her career, Sarah has impacted talent transformations at several major corporations and multi nationals. Radically changing how some of the most important HR functions are defined and executed. Sarah continues to create, stimulate and disrupt thinking, practices and tools on Leadership Development, HR and Talent Strategies. 

Clare Kelly, Director at Glandore

Clare Kelly is the Marketing and Business Development Director of Glandore, Ireland’s leading provider of flexible workspace with nine properties across Cork, Dublin and Belfast. An Irish, family-run business founded by Clare’s father Michael Kelly, Managing Director, she is a Director of Glandore alongside her two sisters. Clare’s focus has always been in supporting businesses throughout all of their various stages of growth and development. Glandore has been providing flexible workspace for 18 years, having helped many of the world’s leading companies to internationalize and expand in Ireland.

This event welcomes all business minds and invites you to participate in an open, collaborative, passionate and fun evening.

This event will take place in Glandore, Floor 3, City Quarter, Lapps Quay, Cork. Come along, join in, raise a glass of prosecco and Hear from Her.

The City Quarter building is on the corner, above the Boardwalk restaurant, beside the Clayton Hotel and behind Jurys Inn.
