Join Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales for an evening celebrating International Women’s Day by meeting extraordinary women innovators in health and technology.
There will be opportunity to network and meet the speakers at the beginning of the session over a cake and cuppa in the foyer.

Meet the game changer: Dr Elin Haf Davies (Aparito)

Dr Elin Haf Davies, has twenty years of clinical experience working to develop new drug treatments for rare childhood diseases. She will talk about what led her to become CEO of Aparito - a digital health company developing wearable technology for patients with rare diseases. Elin is also an accomplished Ocean Adventurer, having rowed across the Atlantic (the first woman from Wales to do so) and Indian Oceans, and sailing across the Pacific and Atlantic – spending a total of 204 days at sea. A successful author and inspirational speaker, she will share what it takes to fulfil these challenges and where she draws her motivation from.
Women Innovators: Panel Discussion

A panel session will follow, featuring pioneering women at the forefront of innovations in health and technology including Dr Elin Haf Davies, CEO Aparito; Yasmine Boudiaf, Creative Technologist and founder of Serious Datum; Cheryl Beer, Creative Director and founder of Sound Memories Dementia Friendly Online Radio Station and The Sleeping Storyteller Mindful Book Company; and chaired by Dr Olwen Williams OBE, Consultant Physician and President of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV.
