Harriett Baldwin
Economic Secretary to UK Treasury

"The time is long overdue to get more women reaching for the top roles. Helping women achieve their aspirations and ambitions isn't just the right thing morally: it makes good business sense too. As the government Minister responsible for women in the economy, it's a personal priority of mine to improve economic opportunities for women.

"8 March is a time for us all to reflect on how far we have come towards gender parity - and also how far we still have to go. That's why, on International Women's Day, I support the Pledge for Parity, and reconfirm the British government's commitment to help women reach economic equality."
