Spend the morning in the company of key influencers in the field of gender diversity and take away practical advice on how you can create change within your own organisation.

Our venue is Wokefield Place, with easy access from M4 J11 and ample parking. 25 mins from Reading train station. The venue offers a good restaurant and spaces to work, should you choose to stay for the afternoon.

SPEAKERS:

Dr Jill Armstrong, Bye Fellow and Researcher for Gender Studies, Cambridge University

Jill is an advocate for progress in gender equality; she is a researcher on the Murray Edwards College "Collaborating with Men" Project; working with men to change workplace culture for the benefit of both men and womens' careers.  Her book "Like Mother, Like Daughter; how career women influence their daughter's ambition" was published in Oct 17. Jill is a regular speaker at conferences and Women in Leadership events.  Founding Director of two commercial market research companies.

Jason Ghaboos, Deputy Director, Home Office

Jason leads Sponsorship Operations within the Visas and Citizenship Directorate, he is champion of "Continuous Improvement" and "Appreciative Inquiry" approaches and passionate about people finding new and innovative ways of working.   Jason is driven to improve the working environment for all staff, with key focus on gender equality as a Core Member of the Home Office's Gender Equality Network.  In 2017, Jason was recognised for his work leading improvements in recruitment and shortlisted for the Representative Workforce Award, by the Employers' Network for Equality & Inclusion (ENEI) His participation in the Murray Edwards Collaborating with Men research has resulted in actions to promote more inclusive meetings.

Nicole Dezen, General Manager, Consumer & Device Sales UK & Ireland, Microsoft

With over 20 years in senior Sales & Marketing leadership within large corporations, Nicole understands the benefits of diversity & inclusion at work and the associated challenges. She currently leads a diverse and successful team of sales and marketing professionals in Microsoft's Consumer Division. Her career progression illustrates her skill as a strategic leader and mentor; heading up teams across the world, she has managed international relationships and delivered on ambitious sales initiatives.  Nicole is an inspiring and insightful speaker with sound commercial accumen and passion for fearless leadership and coaching others.

Claire Scott

Claire works with teams to enhance their individual and combined impact and resilience, focussing on self awareness and team dynamics. She has facilitated multi-professional teams; delivered on complex change projects and designed and orchestrated successful assessment and development programmes.  Prior to coaching, Claire spent 15 years with NHS in senior management.  She has a calm, open communication style and clients value her ability to hold their feet to the fire in a fun but no nonsense way.  Her clients include Vodafone, Bayer, Bausch & Lomb and GSK.

Sarah Perugia

Sarah is an accredited Executive Coach, NLP Practitioner and keen advocate of positive psychology.  Her work is focussed on giving clients practical tools, techniques and insights that they can use immediately in order to create positive change for themselves and their organisation.  Sarah has a passion for supporting organisations committed to creating diverse senior teams.
