International Women's Day Banbury 2020 celebration
When: March 6 2020
Where: Banbury, United Kingdom
During March 2020 a series of events will be held in Banbury, Oxfordshire, to share and celebrate the stories of women in our community. You can join our collective effort to create a gender-equal world by telling your stories and taking part in our events.
IWD encourages us all to make a difference - to think globally and act locally. The inaugural Cherwell celebration of International Women's Day will take place during March 2020. By bringing a globally recognised event to Banbury we hope to empower local women and those that support them.
We aim to make our events and activities accessible to all people regardless of gender, ethnicity, ability, age, religion, sexuality, health or wealth.
On Friday 6th March 2020 we will be hosting a unique day of community, arts and business celebrations at The Mill, Banbury.
The Mill Arts Centre is the cultural hub for Banbury and the surrounding area. As the only dedicated arts provision in the area, it's vision is to inspire creativity and enrich the lives of the community by providing a high-quality, varied artistic, education and participatory programme.
Bloody Good Period is a charitable project that provides period supplies and toiletries to asylum seekers, refugees and those who can't afford them. Through the generosity of members of the public, we collect donations of sanitary products and supply them to drop-in centres and support services across the UK.
During March you will be able to donate sanitary products via a drop-off point located at The Mill.
