Aberystwyth University, Aberration & WEN Wales presents Our Voices, Our Lives for International Women’s Day on Saturday 7 March 2020 at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.

Celebrate International Women’s Day (a day early) with creative workshops and a sparky and inspiring evening of talks, discussion and live music!

Express yourself! An afternoon of creative sessions for women. Release your inner rock star with a music workshop run by The Rock Project, play up with Forum Theatre led by Jane Hoy, or make your own zine with Nicky Arscott.

Tickets on sale soon from Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Up to 12 women (age 16+) per workshop.
Trans women and non-binary people welcome.

6pm Panel discussion on the theme ‘Speak Up’: amplifying crucial issues affecting women’s lives in Wales and beyond. How can campaigners be heard and be effective? With Maria Mesa, Leena Sarah Farhat and Shrouk El-Attar.

8pm Live performance: The Fingersmiths band with cool, jazzy, danceable tunes, Shrouk El-Attar’s gyrating and gender-bending Dancing Queer, truth-telling poet Kittie Belltree and melodic local singer Magda.

Evening open to everyone interested in women’s equality, whatever your gender (women, men, non-binary – all welcome). Age guidance 14+
