The ‘Women for Women’ free Community Event endeavours to celebrate women, raise awareness for equality, create an opportunity for reflection, networking, empowerment and growth in conjunction with the International Women’s Day 2020 theme #EachForEqual.
#EachForEqual stands for actively choosing to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perspectives, and improve situations for women in our community.
This will create an opportunity for community members to step back from their fast-paced lifestyle and reflect on all that they have achieved; and realise their potential for further growth.
#EachForEqual Panelists include Kate Fitzsimons, Captain Lisa Norman and Katelyn Tripodi.
Katie is a certified Life Coach, youth motivational speaker, and podcaster. She has seen over 50,000 teens at over 150 high schools through Resilience presentations across Australia and America. She also runs a charitable foundation ‘The Nicole Fitzsimmons Foundation’ in her sister’s
honour who lost her life in a motorbike accident in Thailand 2012. She is also one of Australia’s top 100 Women of Influence.
Lisa is a pilot on Qantas historical flight direct from Perth to London and has been an international Pilot at Qantas for over 30 years, making up part of the 5% of female captains. She is also the Chair of Qantas Aircrew Assessment Committee, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and mother of two.
Katelyn is the owner of Platter Up Co, a successful catering company with over 14K followers on Instagram and an all female staff. She has been a young business entrepreneur since she was 23. She is also a podcaster on 2Effects Podcast, Interior Stylist and Designer at Katelyn’s Home and qualified Marketing Manager.
