It's time to Listen To Girls!
When: March 7 2021
Where: Virtual, United States
Join the World Association Of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts for a live online discussion with global decision-makers and girls from our Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement.
In this exciting IWD panel event, three young women and three decision makers will sit side-by-side to discuss what girls and young women have told us about the challenges they face through U-Report consultations, from violence and low self-esteem, to climate change and the impact of COVID-19.
They will discuss their concerns and their lived experiences shared, and what should be done to make girls’ vision a reality. They will challenge decision-makers to listen to them and make the changes they want to see in the world!
Ms Jayathma Wickramanayake, UN Youth Envoy
Our panelists will also be launching an innovative tool to help us amplify girls’ and young women’s voices. This event has been co-organised and co-developed by WAGGGS and young women from our Movement.
