Launch of Merengue song by army nurse of Puerto Rican descent
When: March 8 2021
Where: Virtual, United States
In honor of the strong International Women I wanted to share my newest single on a day that represents us! I am an Army Nurse and a professional recording artist. Being in the army is a sacrifice and I represent not only the minority in sex, but also in race. I also represent the minority in the musical genere I traditionally sing in, Salsa. Salsa music is generally a male dominated genre but I happily and proudly share my womanhood singing songs that empower women. This 8 March I release my first Merengue and wanted to share it with the world and on a day that recognize international women.
I will host an online stream with questions and answers from 4 Puerto Rican women who are Army Spouses. They are the dancers in my video for Torero. They will recount their stories, what inspires them, and why they are proud to be international women. Please join me online via my Facebook account.
