Dr Diahanne Rhinney
Dr. Diahanne Rhiney BCAe is an award-winning Social Change Advocate, International, Business leader, Campaigner, qualified Psychologist and Author. She established the first social change PR and Marketing agency in the UK, Naked Truth, over 30 years ago working closely with multi-national businesses.
Lekia is an award-winning campaigner and former broadcast journalist, having worked in both Nigeria and the UK. She started Project Embrace after witnessing hair discrimination and the damaging effects the lack of positive black hair representation in the media and narrow beauty standards can have on the self-esteem of young black girls.
Dr Victoria Showunmi
Associate professor University College central London. Promoting equality in identity, gender, race and class and focusing on leadership and the lived experience of Black women and girls.
The "Walk of Confidence catwalk"
This is less about a catwalk and more about celebrating the women who have decided that 2023 is the year they will step out in confidence and change their narrative. Taking this walk is to build their self-belief. That they "can do" and they can challenge their comfort zone. Let's celebrate them while they shine!
