24th Annual International Women's Day Breakfast by London Abused Women's Centre

When: March 8, 2024

Where: London, Canada

For 24 years the London Abused Women’s Centre has been celebrating women and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements through the annual International Women’s Day Breakfast.

This year’s event features keynote speaker London Olympian, Miranda Ayim. After making her Olympic debut at London 2012, Miranda became flag-bearer for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Miranda is a retired three-time Olympian in the sport of basketball and was recently inducted into the London Sports Hall of Fame.

Last year, LAWC provided 1203 unique clients with more than 11,700 interactions such as one-on-one counselling, transitional housing supports and/or group counselling. Of these service users, 334 were women/girls who have been, or are at risk of being sex trafficked.

The funds generated from the silent auction and other fundraising initiatives during this event will go directly toward front line service, allowing us to continue to support women and girls.

Come celebrate with us and make a difference in the lives of women and girls on their healing journey.
