IWD 2026
As the Head ABE Ambassador for Mauritius, I am honored to join the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day—a moment to recognize women’s achievements and reaffirm our collective commitment to gender equality and empowerment through education.
This year’s theme, "Give to Gain," eloquently reflects our conviction that investing in education is a transformative force.
By sharing knowledge, opportunities, and hope, we enable women to overcome barriers, unlock their full potential, and become catalysts for positive change within their families, communities, and economies.
At the Association of Business Executives UK, we view education as a critical driver of women’s empowerment. Our professional courses and qualifications are designed to equip women with the skills needed to navigate and succeed in today’s competitive world. Our extensive network of centers across multiple countries ensures that accessible, flexible learning opportunities are available to women from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds—empowering them to build confidence, foster independence, and assume leadership roles.
We are also committed to fostering gender equality within our organization. Many of our leadership positions are held by talented women, and we actively promote an inclusive culture that values diversity and equal opportunity. Our collaboration with the Institute of Leadership further underscores our dedication to nurturing future women leaders who will champion social justice and advocate for change.
Our efforts resonate deeply with the principles outlined in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5: achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. Education is at the heart of this mission—it provides women with the tools to improve their lives, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and foster sustainable development.
On this International Women’s Day, I encourage everyone to reflect on the importance of giving—of sharing knowledge, resources, and support. Every woman empowered through education is a step toward a more equitable and inclusive world. Let us continue to invest in education and champion initiatives that uplift women, inspire change, and build a brighter future for all.
Together, in the spirit of "Give to Gain," we can create lasting impact and progress.
