Our commitment to #GiveToGain

At Currie & Brown, we’re committed to making building a better future possible.
And this year’s theme, Give To Gain reminds us that when we invest in each other’s progress, we strengthen our business and our industry.
Signing onto the UN WEPs This year, we signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles. We’re joining global businesses who are serious about turning commitment into lasting change for women, at work, at home and in the communities we’re part of.
Creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture isn’t a ‘nice to have’ for us. It’s central to how we run our business and how we deliver social value, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. That means understanding the realities women face and taking action. Because progress doesn’t happen by intention alone. It happens when organisations like ours step up, back women, and keep going to create real and long-term change.
Prioritising representation Improving representation remains a clear priority for us at Currie & Brown. Women now make up 31% of our workforce, well above the industry average of 20% (RICS, October 2024), and 25% of our fee-earning roles.
We’re also tackling the gender pay gap where it exists. In the UK, for example, female directors now earn 1% more on average than their male peers.
Progress requires clear action. We’re continuing to use recruitment screening tools to help reduce bias. We’re reviewing application data across all regions to ensure the proportion of job offers reflects the number of female applicants.
The path to gender parity is ongoing. It takes intention, accountability and leadership.
By continuing to step up, back women and remove barriers, we can create real and lasting change.
