Haas F1 Team celebrated IWD spotlighting women's talent in motorsport
Marking International Women's Day across Formula 1 teams provides a key and exciting way to help raise awareness about the presence, contributions, and success of women in motorsport.
One of the F1 teams, the TGR Haas Formula One Team, has a particularly strong focus on promoting gender equality and encouraging more women into the sport.
"Today on International Women’s Day, we celebrate our colleagues paving the way for the next generation of women in motorsport #HaasF1 #F1 #IWD2026 #GiveToGain," announced the TGR Haas Team on IWD with an engaging slide show on its social media platforms showcasing many talented women from across the TGR Haas Formula One team.

A progressive legacy where everyone feels empowered to participate
"Diversity Equality and Inclusion is fundamental to who we are, from our leadership team and engineers to colleagues carrying out critical work in our offices, our people are central to our mission and our impact on the F1 circuit. We are steadfast in our commitment to being a team for everyone and embed equality, diversity and inclusion in every aspect of our work - be that internally through our processes or externally, via marketing campaigns," says Haas. "Using key moments such as International Women’s Day, International Women in Engineering Day and campaigns such as F1 in Schools, F1’s Engineering Scholarship Program and our own internship program, Haas is committed to actively demonstrating its intentions for its workforce and the communities we race in, by providing a positive and progressive legacy where everyone feels empowered to participate."
Elevating the presence and success of women in motorsport

International Women's Day also saw Turn 6 at Melbourne Australia's Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit celebrate Haas's renowned engineer, Laura K. Müller and Hannah Schmitz, head of race strategy at Red Bull Racing.
Many circuits hold a longstanding tradition of naming corners after influential people in the world of motorsport, so the corner is dedicated to the work of Laura who became F1's first full-time female race engineer when Haas appointed her ahead of the 2025 season, as well as Hannah due to her impressive and outstanding accomplishments.
Naming of the corner is part of the In Her Corner initiative that also sees a dedicated grandstand and an Innovation Hub at Turn 6, aimed at inspiring students and fans to take on engineering careers. In Her Corner is a partnership between Engineers Australia and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation with the aim of inspiring the next generation of engineers. The Australian Grand Prix is one of the sport's most-attended events.
Laura stated: “to be a part of this acknowledgement so early on in my Formula 1 career is an honor, and I hope it motivates girls and young adults to pursue a career in STEM. It’s important to recognize women’s accomplishments in motorsport so far, and it’s great to be alongside Hannah for this.”
