Executive Director of Afghan Women's Centre of Montreal, diversity and inclusion speaker, advocate for the rights of immigrant women with an expertise on Afghan women's rights.

Victoria Jahesh is a doctor of medicine currently serving as a Project Coordinator and Executive Director at the Afghan Women’s Centre of Montreal since 2018. Since then, she has implemented the center's communications strategy, as well as updating the organization's social media and website.
Victoria Jahesh has actively participated in other non profit organizations. At the local level, she participated in the workshops offered by the Table de concertation des organismes au service des personnes réfugiées et immigrantes (TCRI), focused on spreading legal education about family violence in Quebec. She also had the pleasure to be at the board of directors of ‘’Table de quartier community council of Peter-Mcgill’’.

At the international level, she collaborated with the foundation Hope for Tomorrow assisting children and their families. Furthermore, Victoria uses her knowledge of 4 languages providing translation and interpretation services in medical contexts. For instance, she has frequently helped Russian and Farsi speaking families in the  Montreal Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Victoria Jahesh has been a panelist at several conferences over the past few years. Most notably, she has been called upon to address the evacuation and resettlement of Afghan refugees in Canada as well as the Afghan women's concerns and related policy perspectives since the Taliban took power in August 2021.

Victoria would be delighted to join you to discuss Afghan women's concerns in Canada and Afghanistan as well as to engage in various events such as keynotes and panel discussions.
