Kathryn Keats

The Hummingbird musician

Kathryn Keats put her professional life on the back-burner for 20 years, with the help of victim witness assistance, from a former partner who threatened her life. After her former  partner passed, Keats was able to reclaim her life. Her story initially broke in Readers Digest.

Now, Keats has turned a harrowing experience into a positive message of hope with her SOLO beat musical, “The Hummingbird”.

The Hummingbird is a true story that changed the lives for victims of violence in the United States of America and it’s a story of resilience.

This is a show about love, forgiveness, isolation and resilience, something we all know about after the last two years.

The Hummingbird began  at Berkeley Repertory Theatre The Ground Floor and won best solo musical at Marshstream International Music Festival 2020.

The Hummingbird is for any adult person who has struggled with the seemingly insurmountable climb back to life after losing everything they thought they were,  letting audiences know nothing is insurmountable and everything is going to be alright.
