Neuroscientist, ACT Coach, Mindfulness Teacher and Founder of EQness

Dr. Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana is a Cognitive Neuroscientist, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy Coach, she has a specialization in emotional education and stress management and is a mindfulness and dance teacher. She combines her skills and knowledge to elaborate her talks and to create personalized programs to support people’s wellbeing.

Research-wise, her main field of study has been brain plasticity, having more than 13 years of experience working with non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) methods combined with Neuroimaging techniques to investigate ways to improve brain functioning.

Having a real passion for understanding human emotions and their consequences, since 2014 she has been investigating the phenomenon of Intentional Forgetting, an incredibly important brain function that is crucial for everyday performance. Outcomes of this research are particularly important for psychopathologies in which the inability to regulate thoughts and memories is an issue, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, or OCD.
As wellbeing is one of her great interests and being a teacher of mindfulness, she is also involved in several research projects where mindfulness methods are used to improve quality of life.

She has created and published several online well-being programs to support people's well-being.

Examples of these are:
- Empowerment Through Healthy Self-Esteem
- Rise & Thrive: Dealing With Discrimination At Work
