Hania Mohiuddin

Aerospace Engineering speaker working on Ejection Systems, Aircraft Landing Gear Systems, UAV Systems, Unmanned Vehicles, Human Powered Aircraft

Hania Mohiuddin MSc BEng AMRAeS MINCOSEcompleted her Masters degree from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom specialising in Autonomous Vehicle Dynamics and Control (UAV and UGV Autonomous Systems) and also holds a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering (Avionics) from The University of Sheffield.

She is Chair of the British Human Powered Flying Club (BHPFC), a STEM Ambassador and committee member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Heathrow branch. She is a strong promoter of Women in Engineering, especially in Aerospace and Aviation sectors.

As a committee member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Women in Aviation and Aerospace group, she is campaigning to promote the Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter. Which states:  "The UK’s aviation and aerospace sectors are making a commitment to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry for women by launching a Charter for Women."

She is also a Mentor on the RAeS mentoring scheme, Alta, where she mentors upcoming young female engineers. In her spare time, she mentors young people to work towards becoming Engineers.

Her proudest moment to date was when her two and a half year old niece told Hania she wanted to become a pilot and fly in a helicopter with her aunt.

Hania has been frequently featured in Women in Engineering interviews and articles and continues to do so.
