Network Like You Mean It is an interactive workshop covering topics that sharpen and develop soft skills like: leadership, communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills. Sessions explore the fundamentals of public speaking, preparation, collaboration and self- identity. The more knowledge audiences gain around a specific skill set, the more confidence they will have when performing these skills.

WORKSHOP TOPIC #1: Networking Like You Mean it

Participants will learn how to network with purpose to achieve their goals. They will learn the differences between being assertive vs. aggressive and how to prepare and collaborate when networking. Discover who they are and how social media matters with self-identification and validation. These tips will be easy to understand and apply in everyday life. Participants will also deliver a one minute pitch and will receive constructive feedback after completion. Jessica's upbeat and energetic personality will keep them entertained and intrigued.


WORKSHOP TOPIC #2: It’s not what you say but how you say it, Public Speaking 101

Participants will learn the foundation of public speaking and have the opportunity to give a 1 minute persuasive or informative speech in front of their peers with constructive feedback to follow. When participants are able to convey a message with poise, strong body language and conviction it will help shape a positive mindset and help participants feel empowered.

WORKSHOP TOPIC #3: Health & Wellness, Stress Management

Participants will learn the signs of symptoms of stress, learn how to deal with stressors in their life, and learn how to remove fear from their lives. Participants will role play “stressful situations” and receive feedback from peers on how to handle the situation.

This will be an engaging partnership that shares meaningful content in a manner that is accessible, encourages participation, and is inclusive. You will have an objective for each part of the session and where appropriate, activities and reflection time will be included to reinforce understanding. Additionally, Jessica will equip participants with tips and action steps to best implement tactics shared.
