Women with Disability panel discussion
When: March 8 2019
Where: Rockhampton, Australia
Let’s talk about women with disability
Disability doesn’t discriminate, but in 2019 women with disability still face barriers to full inclusion in our community. They are at higher risk of abuse than their mainstream sisters, and can experience diagnosis delays compared to men with similar conditions.
On International Women’s Day, join us for a discussion of issues facing local women with disability. NDIS Partner in the Community Carers Queensland will be joined by author and neurodiversity awareness advocate Barb Cook, and representatives from local women’s and family violence services.
Our discussion will be followed by live music with singer-songwriter Bec Ellen, morning tea, and a chance to chat and learn from each other.
