King Heath Jobcentre's International Women's Day Event 2020- Rescheduled to a later date TBC

The Department of Work and Pension's Kings Heath Jobcentre, which is located in Birmingham, West Midlands in England UK, will  be  organising it’s third community event with their partner agencies to promote this year’s International Women Day at a later date in 2020.  This will be held at the mentioned Jobcentre, as part of the employment welfare government establishment’s ongoing local community engagement strategy and focused delivered career guidance provision.

Kings Heath Jobcentre previously held two previous annual IWD events since 2018, such as a single gender mini job fair and a multi-agency career guidance mentoring event, which successfully assisted a significant number of female claimants/lone parents into employment or further employment training opportunities. The jobcentre are proud to stage the annual global gender awareness event, and it has now become a staple in the jobcentre's calendar which  both staff and their customers look forward to

This year’s International Women Day Event has been organised to promote non-traditional career opportunities within the construction and security industries for unemployed women and lone parents from diverse backgrounds with career obstacles.  Representatives from various health education and social community care related agencies will attend the event to promote local advisory and support services, and shorts talks on positive gender motivation and equality will be delivered to female attendees.

In conjunction with Kings Heath jobcentre, participating employability training providers, personal motivational and advisory agencies who are supporting the event includes the Department of Work and Pension District Office of Birmingham/Solihull, Salutem, Smartworks, Selly Oak Jobcentre, BSW Jobcentre, Mercury Security Training and Key Impact Ltd.
