IWD talk by Katherine Connelly, 'A suffragette in America'

When: March 7 2020

Where: Salford, United Kingdom

Published for the first time, 'A suffragette in America' is Sylvia Pankhurst’s text based on her experiences during two lecture tours of North America in 1911 and 1912.

Katherine Connelly, biographer of Sylvia, edited the book and will uncover for us the extraordinary story of Sylvia's time in America, the manuscript it inspired and its far-reaching consequences for the suffragette movement in Britain.

This event, starting at 2pm, is the Working Class Movement Library's contribution to International Women's Day 2020.

Admission free; all welcome.
