Architects of positive futures

Aiman Ezzat, Chief Operating Officer, Capgemini

 IWD 2020

At Capgemini, we believe the factors that make people different are a source of innovation and creativity. They enable us to generate new ideas, anticipate market trends and be thought leaders in our chosen markets. As Architects of Positive Futures, altogether within our Group, we commit to build a more inclusive and equitable workplace where all our employees can be their authentic selves and do their best work, and where people of all backgrounds can thrive.

Capgemini is present in more than 40 countries with 220,000 team members of over 120 nationalities. It is with great pride that I am able to say diversity and inclusion are in our culture and DNA. In today’s business environment gender diversity – and diversity on a broader scale – is essential to ensuring that we have the right skills base and talent pool within our organizations. Greater diversity and inclusive practices drive different perspectives, broader skill sets and new ideas that can enrich the decision making process leading to better business outcomes.

At Capgemini, we renew our efforts to expand the diversity and parity of our teams every year. How? We have introduced numerous initiatives that foster the best work environments, while reducing disparities between men and women. Specific programs to aid high-potential female employees, regular panels to highlight the role and place of women in digital and innovation, offering more flexible work options, and encouraging inclusive behaviors through the regular training of employees at all levels, are some examples of our Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

By building recruitment and promotion opportunities that encourage diversity, and ensuring that employees feel valued and supported throughout their careers, organizations will no doubt begin to see more gender balance in their leadership pipeline.

No organization will move the dial without taking positive actions. Collectively we can all play a part being #EachforEqual for #IWD2020.
