Canberra business woman and Bookssorted Group CEO Christine Marr, supported by Specialists in Communications and QT Canberra, are asking you to join a discussion on how we can all chose to challenge to create a better world.
In conversation with a panel of female leaders, we will celebrate women across the country and learn from each other.
Pat Anderson is an Alyawarre woman known nationally and internationally as a powerful advocate for the health of Australia’s First Peoples. She has extensive experience in Aboriginal health, including community development, policy formation and research ethics.
Pat was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2014 for distinguished service to the Indigenous community as a social justice advocate. She is also our 2020 ACT Senior of the Year.
Christine Marr is a well-known business woman in Canberra, with her IT Contractor payroll service of 15 years continuously being named as one of Australia’s best. Christine was named Business Woman of the Year in the 2019 CWB Awards and is regularly sought-after to speak on business tenacity.
As a role model for business women, Christine openly discusses the challenges in balancing child-raising and business ownership, and also shares the strategies she employed to help her overcome the challenges.
Rosie McKay has over 16 years styling and wardrobe curation know-how. She is highly sought after for event dressing and personal styling, and has worked with host of local and international personalities and celebrities as well as everyday professionals and mums who engage Rosie for style makeovers, wardrobe edits and personal shopping.
Rosie is known for her great ability to empower women of all backgrounds and ages and she is called upon for her expertise and authoritative advice across the topics of fashion, beauty, health, lifestyle, travel, bridal and motherhood to name a few. She has contributed articles / blogs and expert commentary to Bride To Be, OK!, WHO, New Idea, Kidspot, Chadstone Stylelist Blog and Love The Festival Blog.
Sheena Ireland is a passionate advocate for meaningful connection in communications, public affairs and leadership. She believes storytelling has the power to truly connect people and through it, we can build trust and brand awareness, and influence change for the better.
Sheena is often called upon to facilitate panel and in-conversation discussions on topics that challenge our thinking and help us to see the world through diverse lenses.
Tickets are $75 each. As we #ChooseToChallenge, we also work to remove the stigma from mental health and support the communities that support us.
In doing this, we are donating the profits from this event to Lifeline Canberra to support their amazing work and to train more Telephone Crisis Supporters.
