Join the California Museum and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom for a virtual International Women’s Day discussion on the role of motherhood in society and social movements on Mon., Mar. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Special guests include Dr. Shirley N. Weber, California’s first African American Secretary of State, and Anna Malaika Tubbs, author of “The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation.”
Both guests’ achievements are highlighted in the Museum’s exhibit “Women Inspire: California Women Changing Our World” developed in collaboration with the First Partner to showcase achievements by more than 250 Golden State trailblazers.
