Inaugural IWD Photo Competition celebrates the diversity of women

Celebrating the diversity of women, IWD 2019 saw the Inaugural IWD Photo Competition launched on the EyeEm platform to celebrate women for the entire month of March. This exciting worldwide competition was open to photographers of any gender - and participants could download the EyeEm app on iOS or Android to participate.
Celebrating diverse imagery of women challenges perceptions through better reflecting the vibrant and varied communities in which we live and work worldwide. Photographers and industry can certainly play a critical role in helping forge a more gender-balanced world - #BalanceforBetter.
You can see where we ran the Inaugural IWD Photo Competition here. Entries closed on March 31, 2019. Over 51,200 entries were received.
Dina Alfasi from Israel wins the IWD Photograph Competition
The winner of the IWD EyeEm Photograph Competition was Dina Alfasi for her impressive photograph that you can see here.
Dina says she is inspired by the little moments that happen every day. "My work is a testament to telling stories through a single photograph and proof that all you need is just to look around to find magic moments," explains Dina.

Real and relevant, a specially curated IWD 2019 Image Collection was made available for licensing.
20% of the licensing revenue goes to the International Women’s Day Charity of Choice, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
