Thank you to the 'Friends of IWD'

Each year, on an annual basis, proposals are invited from grassroots groups and community-focused organizations who share a passion for forging women's equality.

Friends of IWD galvanize their extensive communities and stakeholders as they deliver agreed IWD co-branded campaign activity for International Women's Day that supports and promotes the annual IWD campaign theme for awareness raising and action.

Friends of IWD comprise a different relationship from IWD Partners, IWD Supporters, IWD Collaborations, IWD Charities of Choice and IWD Flagship Event Partners.

Friends of IWD activity engage theior considerable communities in activity suporting the annual IWD theme such as coordinating an agreed IWD competition, IWD themed campaign, or IWD equality initiative or creative venture. This type of IWD actviity is always community-focused.

IWD sees a range of exciting activity

Thank you to Friends of IWD. With their help and support, the world gets to enjoy and participate in some very exciting activity that raises greater awareness about women's equality - and provides important opportunities to celebrate and showcase the achievements of women.

Typism

While the field of graphic design has certainly seen an increase in women, sadly the world of typography is still dominated by men. But we aim to challenge that through celebrating the work of women typographers worldwide. With the help of the global Typism Community, women typographers worldwide have been submitting their IWD theme creations. Read more about it right here.

IWD Rap

To support the IWD campaign theme, Speaking Rights helps us call for rappers worldwide to create an IWD theme rap to support International Women's Day and beyond. Check out last year's awesome #EachforEqual rap by award-winning London rapper C Cane who kicked off the global call for IWD raps.

Read more about the IWD raps and help us celebrate women rappers and their messages of equality like never before.
